Biblical healing is not by works
Galatians 3:5, “I ask you again, does God give you the Holy Spirit and work miracles among you because you obey the law? Of course not! It is because you believe the message you heard about Christ.” (NLT)
The healing in the Bible is part of a covenant that was made with those who believe. It is received in the same way as salvation, not based on works, but by the hearing of faith. It is not something that God grants us, but has already been purchased for us and awaits for us to receive it. Christians in America are like the people in those towns where Jesus could do few miracles because we have been taught by churches the message of disqualification (law based religion) instead of qualification through Christ’s finished work alone. It’s time we really start to dig in and learn what the Bible really has to say about our healing so that we can receive it instead of playing games trying to get our lives perfect so that God just might grant us a healing, which in reality, negates the price that Jesus paid for us and puts the focus on our performance according to the law, and is actually dishonoring to the atoning work of the Cross.
