Legal grounds and non-believers
Before you cast out a demon, you must first remove it’s right to be there. This is known as a legal ground by many of us in the deliverance ministry. Let’s say that somebody committed a sin which opened them up for a demon to enter. Do you know that if you proceed to cast out their demon, but fail to remove the legal ground, that demon will almost always come right back, and perhaps make the person worse off than they were before? It is absolutely vital to remove any rights that the demon may have in their life, then proceed to drive out the spirits! Driving out the spirits without addressing their rights is only leaving the door wide open for them to return. Jesus said that if we cast demons out of the wicked generation, then it will return to it’s home with several other spirits even worse than itself!
Luke 11:24-26, “When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest; and finding none, he saith, I will return unto my house whence I came out. And when he cometh, he findeth it swept and garnished. Then goeth he, and taketh to him seven other spirits more wicked than himself; and they enter in, and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first.”
How can you successfully minister deliverance to a non-believer, if you are unable to remove the legal grounds for those spirits in their lives? How can you remove those legal grounds if their sins cannot be forgiven because they have not come to Christ? This is one of many solid reasons as to why Jesus made it so clear that deliverance is for the children… referring to those in covenant with God!
Matthew 15:26, “But he answered and said, It is not meet to take the children’s bread, and to cast it to dogs.”
Jesus referred to the casting out of demons as children’s bread. It is VERY risky (not to mention dangerous) to walk around casting demons from non-believers!
