The expression of true faith
There are a lot of misunderstandings concerning faith. True Biblical faith is simple, it makes sense, and it WORKS! Faith is not mere words or actions, but it is knowing the Will of God (found in His Word), then taking God at His Word. True faith is simply believing what God says to be true!
You receive divine healing, not by begging, crying, feeling sorry for yourself, or all of the above; you receive the promises of God by believing and receiving what His Word has said to be true. Faith doesn’t thank God for the problem, it doesn’t beg Him for something He’s promised you; faith praises God for the provision that is already made on your behalf! Thank God healing is in the atonement and part of the work that Christ did for us on the Cross; it is part of the covenant, that is signed with blood, which is ours in Christ!
Did you know that there are many times when you cannot believe for one thing, without first believing something else God has promised you? For example, there are many who struggle with feeling forgiven of their past, yet they are trying to believe God for a healing or financial provision. The enemy will waste no time in accusing them, trying to tell them that they don’t qualify for the healing Christ has purchased for them. In many cases, you cannot believe God for His promises on healing, finances, etc. until you first believe what Jesus has done for you in the area of righteousness. Once you know in your heart that you are forgiven and made right with God by faith in Christ’s work on your behalf, it is then that you are able to believe for the other promises of God (without the enemy “disqualifying” you!). None of us are perfect by our performance, but whosoever will take God at His Word and believes what it tells us about being made right with God through faith, stands before God innocent and justified, just as if we’ve never sinned! We are only qualified for the other promises of God because the righteousness of Christ is upon those who believe:
Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference.
Romans 3:22
If the enemy can make you believe that you are somehow not totally right with God, then he will naturally be able to severely cripple your ability to believe God for the rest of His promises. That is why believing that we are 100% forgiven and made right with God through the work of Christ is so vital to receiving all of the other promises of God. We have been made worthy to partake in all the promises of God! Do you not feel worthy because of the sins of your past? Then you aren’t fully convinced that you are 100% forgiven, righteous, justified (according to NT Greek, it means just as if you’ve never sinned!), and stand before your heavenly Father blameless and pure, completely forgiven… and you know something else? He doesn’t even remember your failures!! He looks at you and sees the righteousness of Christ that is upon you! How can you not feel worthy after the Blood has made you a worthy partaker of the covenant? If God says you are worthy, then who are you to doubt that? Unbelief is a sin, ya know!
Blessings in Christ,
