Redefining Normal Christianity
My friends, I wish you could have been a fly on the wall to witness the power of God set people free yesterday at church… it would rivet some of you to the bone to witness a real live deliverance where real demons were manifesting, taking control of the body, eyes rolled back into the head, speaking through the mouth with a shrilling voice, and then being driven out in Jesus name. What a lifetime of counseling and pills could never do, I’ve seen deliverance ministry pull off again and again. New people who come to our church will often say, “I have never seen anything like this before in my life!” One person we ministered to walked away saying, “I cannot believe how much peace I feel!” after receiving dramatic freedom and was weeping near the end of his deliverance. Dare I say that this is supposed to be normal Christianity?! Would it be politically incorrect to say that this is what Jesus instructed us to go forth and do?
“And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand. Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.” (Matthew 10:7-8 KJV)
“Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.” (John 14:12 KJV)
The early church took Jesus’ command seriously, and boy did they get the results!
“And the people with one accord gave heed unto those things which Philip spake, hearing and seeing the miracles which he did. For unclean spirits, crying with loud voice, came out of many that were possessed with them: and many taken with palsies, and that were lame, were healed. And there was great joy in that city.” (Acts 8:6-8 KJV)
I’m not in this type of ministry because it’s fun. I roll up my sleeves and get in the face of the powers of darkness because I LOVE the person I’m ministering to. I know what it’s like to suffer and be tormented and I want to put an end to that in their life. Jesus died that they might be free!
Miracles, signs and wonders are supposed to be NORMAL in the life of the Christian! One book I read that changed my life was The Supernatural Ways of Royalty by Kris Vallotton. If you want to wake yourself up and start living the life Jesus CREATED you to walk in, then I would encourage you to pick up a copy of this book. My friend, YOU were made to walk in power, authority, and operate in the supernatural!
